quickmatch dating service - Ipconfig registerdns not updating dns

The main differences I could see are that many exchange-related groups where explicitly included in the forward zone and not in the reverse but most of these entries are actually empty ACLs (the group is just listed but not given any visible allow or deny permission).I've also checked the security audit log for anything related to DNS but I found nothing.

ipconfig registerdns not updating dns-44

Then check the Security tab on the Reverse Zone and make sure that group is authorized to create all child objects (DNS records) 2) If your statically-configured hosts are not updating the reverse zone, make sure their NICs are configured to register their IP in DNS (Windows hosts are enabled for this by default).

If they are in the forward zone but not the reverse, then something else is going on...

To check, right-click your DHCP scope and go to properties.

On the DNS tab enable DNS dynamic updates and set to "Always dynamically update..." Also enable Dynamic Update for clients that do not request updates.

I'm really not sure, though, since I don't know what I'm looking for and there are really a LOT of events.

Hello, It appears we are having what seems to be the exact same problem on our network.

No error is logged in the event viewer of either the client and the server.

I've looked at it, my co-worker has looked at it and neither of us could find anything wrong with the system: we just don't understand why the records aren't properly updated.

It does look like teh forward zone and the reverse one have different permissions but I'm not sure how significant it is.
